Legacy Labor and Kits

For this page, you will need to have version 9.42, with an update date of at least 1/5/2008.

Version 9.42 GlassShop, published after 12/30/2008 handles kits and labor differently than previous versions of GlassShop. The change involved moving the Labor and Kit from a total on the entire order into a per-line-item basis. We had to make this change in order to accurately represent Labor and Kit for continuing online invoicing transactions.

There are 3 different circumstances that need to be addressed. (Scroll Down)

Current Documents Initiated after the Update was Installed

Labor and Kits will work as they should, and Labor and Kit amounts will be entered directly on the line item.

Documents Created Before 12/30/2008

When you first bring these up, the Labor and Kit will appear in their own box. One way to edit the Labor and Kit is to click the zoom button "legacy" or go to Options > Legacy Labor and Kit. Make your changes here and Save. If it is a Glaxis bound invoice, scroll down.

Documents Created Before 12/30/2008 that need editing for sending to Glaxis

These documents fall in the zone that may have happened between updates and 12/30/2008. You can still edit the Labor and Kit the "old way" by going to Options > Legacy Labor and Kit while you have the invoice open. These documents will appear strange, because the totals for Labor and Kit will not be displayed on the main window (but can always be displayed on the Legacy Labor and Kit window). You may also have to look at this if you have an invoice that needs to be sent via EDI.
